WORK IN PROGRESS - See Bob

This ramp is on the Willamette River outside of Albany going toward Corvallis. It is a single lane ramp, operated by the Benton County. No fee is charged. The park is day use only but open all year, except when flooding occurs. There is a dock along the ramp, but no separate tie-up dock. Hyak is a day-use park with no overnight camping or parking.

Caution: Tall boats can't get down the ramp (need detail). Consider using Takena or Bowman ramps.

Hyak Park is entered by car from US 20 about 3 miles from the Albany bridges and about a mile towards Albany from the Hwy 20 - Independence Hwy junction.

Water Character

This is on a smooth flowing stretch of the Willamette River. Downstream a short distance, on the Linn County side, is an interesting slough that goes a quarter mile or so into Bowers Rock State Park (undeveloped). This slough is called “Little Willamette River” on Google Maps, but that is clearly an exaggeration!
