The Coots will be getting a chance to see what's in the storage warehouses for the Columbia River Maritime Museum. We'll meet in the lobby of the museum at about 1:30 before going over to the storage buildings across the street. If you arrive early you can kill time wandering the main museum building. Tell the person at the desk you're with the Coots group tour and you won't have to pay the admission fee, but you should anyway if you can afford it.
We'll meet for lunch at the Astoria Brewing Company Taproom on 12th Street at 12:00. Please let me know if you're going to join is for lunch so they can get ready for all of us.
If you arrive in Astoria early you can visit the Hanthorn Cannery Museum on Pier 39 before lunch. It's an interesting small museum with some old boats on display, and there are usually some other interesting boats that are just stored nearby.
