======= Cannon Quarry Park ======= {{:cannonQuarry1.jpg?640|©2026 Lincoln County, OR}} The launch ramp and park. Photo by Lincoln County. This small park and boat ramp is about 5-miles upstream from Toledo. The ramp is in good shape and a single dock is on the side. This part of the river is still tidal and normally reverses. Parking is good but it can get busy when fish are being caught. This is operated by [[https://www.co.lincoln.or.us/1067/Cannon-Quarry-Park|Lincoln County Parks]] and there are no use fees. **Location** GPS Location: 44.604019, -123.902397 [[https://umap.openstreetmap.de/en/map/coots-map_138835#12#12/44.604019, -123.902397|Open Street Map with interaction.]] The map below shows the detail of the area. The road to Toledo is off the bottom and the continuation to Elk City is at the top. {{:cannonquarrymap.png?640|}} **Description** The big feature of this park is the launch ramp. But there are picnic tables and a rest room. Across the road is a nature trail (see the map). **Water Character** This is a river valley, so the winds are generally reduced by the hills. But, the water is open enough to be challenging for small boats, especially when a winter storm is around. The flow is modified by recent rain, sometimes in a major way, but normally the controlling feature is tidal action. Tide predictions are available for Toledo and they will give a general indication of this area with a delay of around a half hour.
