======== Baker Bay at Dorena  Reservoir ========

This Marina is on the South side of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorena_Reservoir|Dorena Reservoir]].  There is a single-lane ramp with good surface and a single dock.  There is no specific charge for ramp use, but there is an entry fee for the park, with a pay station near the entry.  If you are using the marina, no further fee is required.  Be sure to display your receipt or permit on the dashboard of your vehicle.

This facility is operated by [[https://www.lanecountyor.gov/government/county_departments/public_works/parks|Lane County Parks]].  In addition to the boat ramp, there is trailer parking, a campground with hookups, picnicking and unsupervised swimming.

==== Ramp ====

The marina has one docks that may have some "transient" spaces. These show "unavailable" on the internet, but check with [[https://www.lanecountyor.gov/government/county_departments/public_works/parks|Lane County Parks]], Eugene (541) 682-2000. 

Boating season for Baker Bay is officially May 1 to August 31.  Boat ramp use can extend outside of this season, as the park is kept open for day use.  During the boating season, over-night parking is available for marina users, only.

==== The Lake ====

Dorena Reservoir is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers to help control flooding and to provide water for summer irrigation.  The level is raised with the spring rain, starting in February.  The water is deliberately lowered in September and later.  During the summer the water drops slowly ending several feet below full pool. 

This is a general use lake shared by people-powered, sail and power watercraft.
