+The North Riverside Park has a newer well built and maintained full launch ramp, on the Willamette River.  This is about a mile north of Independence town center. There is good paved parking, rest rooms and there is a service dock for the ramp.  Located along a straight stretch of the river, there is current, with the flow depending on the season.

+==== Location ====

+By road, this site is accessed from Hwy 51, the road connecting Independence with Hwy 22.  Turn onto Deann Drive that is at the north edge of Independence.  Deann Drive is not obvious until you are almost past it.  There is a brown "Launch Ramp" sign on the NE corner of the turn, but you need to look for it.  Heading east on Deann, you go past apartments and a circle, where the river area can be seen.  The map below shows the arrangement of the area.  By water, the site is easy to see and access.

+==== Ramp ====
+The ramp is usable clear down to summer flow level.  The slope of the ramp is about 14.5% which is fine for most boats.  The top of the ramp does not flood at any normal winter flow and the floating docks are left in-place all year.  The paving is good and the surface is all intact.
